This is a big deck box that we keep on the front porch of the church building. It is filled with non-perishable food, toiletries, and an ever-changing assortment of items that people may find useful. It is unlocked, and available 24/7 to anyone who wants to check it out. There are no questions asked - in fact, no need to talk with anyone if you would rather not. The congregation provides the bulk of the items, and the contents rotate frequently. We are a member of the New York State partnership for highway clean up. Two or three Saturdays each year we gather a team to pick up trash and other debris from our assigned stretch of Route #86. This is one way we demonstrate care for our community and this good earth God has given us to steward.
